The Ritchie technical team specialises in the design and development of fabrication and associated equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical elements. Utilising the most advanced intergated 3D parametric CAD technology, they are adept at handling a project from identification of the problem and need through to a delivered solution. Attention to detail and customer satisfaction are of primary importance to Ritchie; consequently the team consults closely with the client at all stages, from initial design concept through specification, prototype build and testing to full batch production. |

| | Manufacture and Finishing
The company™s manufacturing capability comprises two factory facilities with 10,000 square metres of production space and four hectares of outdoor storage. Plant includes CNC bending, plasma cutting, MAG, MIG, TIG and robotic welding, gritblasting and a variety of testing and finishing processes. In addition, Ritchie has recently invested in a state-of-the-art Hot Dip Galvanising plant. Sharing the company`s main site in Forfar, this fully automated, environmentally friendly facility gives Ritchie lead time and quality advantages, enabling it to offer a unique capability. |

| | Quality Assurance
Quality assurance is an integral part of the Ritchie ethos. An MoD approved supplier, the company operates to stringent BSi standards (ISO BS EN 9001:2000), and has been since 1988. Welding procedures and Lloyds/DNV approved, and traceability of materials, processes and products can be arranged. The company is also notable for being the first in the UK to be granted a DNV Manufacturing Survey Arrangement. This enables Ritchie to offer an extremely cost effective certification regime. Where certain specialist processes are placed with outside contractors, these sub-contracted suppliers have been vetted and approved to the same exacting standards. |
