RITCHIE Delivers for Eurofighter Project.

Forfar, Scotland, June 2005 - RITCHIE, the UK's leading designer and supplier of gas handling equipment, delivered an order of Cylinder Handling Trolleys (CCTs) for use with the Typhoon Eurofighter on behalf of BAe.

The contract will see the RITCHIE CCTs delivered to participating Air Forces such as Italy and Spain. This contract came after a prolonged consultative phase and a couple of years after supplying a larger £2.4M contract to the MoD for CCTs, the RAF now uses RITCHIE CCTs throughout the world with great success.

Modern aircraft like the Typhoon use high-pressure gases for a number of operating systems; ejector, hydraulic and breathing systems. This requires a product system that is safe for ground personnel to use and safe to operate alongside advance fighter aircraft.

RITCHIE`s unique experience and expertise in designing and delivering gas cylinder handling solutions and trailer solutions ensured success in winning and delivering the design and eventual contract.

Whilst developed for military use, the CCT can be used by civil aircraft and RITCHIE have had a number of enquiries from national carriers.
