RITCHIE Launch Cylinder Storage Advisory Pack for Ambulance Stations
July, Harrogate - RITCHIE, the gas cylinder handling solutions company, has developed and launched an advisory Cylinder Storage and Handling Pack after listening to visitors to their stand at AMBEX 2005. RITCHIE market a range of medical gas cylinder storage solutions, developed specifically for Ambulance Stations. Visitors to the stand described a whole range of issues, mainly risks associated with inappropriate storage facilities. Visitors stated that the increased focus on H&S risk assessments regarding the lifting of weights and the need to increase staff levels and therefore reduce absenteeism due to preventable injuries are driving the need to review handling operations. However, they also stated it was difficult to obtain advice for suitable storage especially if a case was to be made to invest in safer storage facilities. From these discussions, RITCHIE has developed an advisory pack including a risk assessment specifically for cylinder storage and handling and an advice sheet on the dos and don`ts.
